The Nike Air Max 1 'Urawa 2.0' updates a Japanese exclusive colorway that first appeared in 2004, honoring the Urawa Red Diamonds, a football club in Japan's top division. The 2023 version keeps a platinum and black palette, building the upper from mesh panels with suede and leather overlays, finished with a stitched white leather Swoosh. A metallic gold tongue tag and a tonal dragon embroidered on the heel overlay carry the club reference through the design, while crimson molded eyelets add a sharp contrast point at the lacing.
Underneath, the shoe runs on the Air Max 1's white polyurethane midsole with a red-tinted Max Air unit set into the heel.
