A full-length Air unit extends beneath the blue mesh of the Nike Air Max 2017. The upper moves through Binary Blue and Obsidian tones, with a black Swoosh and molded lines giving the sides additional definition. The mesh construction keeps the surface more continuous than a traditional stitched-overlay runner. Reflective detailing at the heel introduces a different finish toward the rear.
Flymesh and synthetic reinforcement provide targeted support around the upper, with molded foam wrapping the midfoot and heel. A foam midsole works above the long Air unit, and rubber underneath uses a Waffle-based traction pattern. The design makes cushioning a visible part of the entire profile rather than concentrating it in one heel window.
