Side B is the darker half of the Mixtape pairing. A black suede upper takes the base, Sunblush pink lands on the accents, and Thunder Grey fills the panels in between, a three-way split that keeps the pink contained rather than letting it spread. Suede is the notable part. Most Air Max 90s use leather and mesh, and swapping in a napped upper changes both the look and the way the panel edges catch light. That material upgrade is what puts the shoe in the Premium tier and explains the $170 price, which sat $50 to $60 above a general-release 90 in mid 2019.
Nike released it in June 2019. The cassette theme runs through the small details rather than the silhouette, which is left alone: visible heel Air unit, waffle-pattern outsole, the stacked panel layout the model has carried since 1990. As a colourway it is one of the more wearable pink-accented 90s, because the pink is a highlight on black rather than a full panel.
