The toggle closure is the point of this build. Instead of laces a child has to tie, the shoe uses a single elastic pull with a locking toggle, which keeps the fit adjustable while making it possible to get on and off unaided. The palette is soft but not plain. White leather carries the upper, Light Violet shades the panels, Crimson Bliss picks out the accents in a warm pink-red, and Metallic Platinum adds a small reflective note on the branding.
Nike released it in April 2021 at $90. Everything above the closure is standard Air Max 90: the stacked side panels, the moulded window showing the heel Air unit, and the waffle-pattern outsole. Preschool sizing shrinks the proportions but not the detail, which is why these pairs still look like the adult shoe rather than a simplified version of it. Nike runs several of these closure systems in parallel across its youngest sizes, and the toggle is the one that most closely mimics a laced fit.
