Black suede, Neon Yellow and Light Graphite return on this Air Max 95 OG 'Neon', reissued December 17, 2020 at $170. The OG label marks a build cut close to the 1995 specification, the shoe Sergio Lozano designed after coming to Nike from its outdoor and tennis training side rather than running. His original concept carried no Swoosh at all; Nike added one, kept deliberately small, low on the heel, before approving it for release.
That first Air Max 95 also introduced a black midsole to the line, a choice that drew objections inside Nike at the time, and it was the first Nike shoe built with visible Air in the forefoot as well as the heel. The upper on this reissue keeps the 3M Scotchlite reflective material from the original build and the same layered, ridged panel construction, carried here in a Neon Yellow and Light Graphite palette over black suede rather than the shoe's more common grey gradient treatment.
