The Nike Air Max 95 Sneakerboot 'Volt' takes the model's wave-shaped upper and rebuilds it for winter, in an anthracite base with volt and dark grey through the sole and accents. In place of the usual suede or leather panelling, Sneakerboot versions of the Air Max 95 use weatherproofed overlays over a neoprene bootie, with a grippier outsole for wet or icy ground. It released September 16, 2018 at $200, a premium over the shoe's standard general-release pairs.
The Air units at heel and forefoot carry over from the running silhouette, so the shoe keeps its cushioning even with the added bulk of the winter build. Volt and dark grey stay mostly confined to the sole and small accent hits, with anthracite carrying the bulk of the upper, a more subdued take than the shoe's brighter general-release colourways.
