This black synthetic Air Max 95 Ultra released June 30, 2023 at $170, broken up by white and Picante Red panels and set on a Neutral Grey sole unit that carries the model's Air cushioning at heel and forefoot. White shows through at the midfoot webbing and heel counter, keeping the mostly dark upper from reading as one flat block of color.
The Ultra line dates to 2015, when Nike lightened the Air Max 95 by trading its layered suede and leather for taped overlays and mesh, cutting weight without changing the model's dual Air setup at heel and forefoot. This colorway keeps that slimmer build in an almost entirely black based palette, with Picante Red the only bright color breaking up the synthetic upper.
