Nike Basketball introduced the Greater Than series in 2021 and split it three ways by movement: Run, Jump and Cut. The GT Cut is the one for players who create separation in a step and then stop dead, which puts most of the engineering into traction and lateral containment rather than cushioning height.
The second version, out in autumn 2022, redrew the outsole as a wiper-blade pattern of deep grooves that separate under load and snap back as the foot releases, with a second zone of nubbed rubber running up the forefoot for the moments a player rolls onto the edge of the shoe. The heel cup was slimmed by removing rubber, and a Zoom Air unit sits inside it. The upper is knit and cut low, with fused reinforcement at the pressure points and internal lace loops around the forefoot to stop the foot sliding.
Devin Booker and Sabrina Ionescu fronted the launch. Sisterhood is the make-up tied to the women's game: summit white with metallic gold, university red and deep maroon worked through the panels, the collar and the traction pattern.
