Nick Tershay was running Diamond Supply Co. as a small operation when Nike SB put him in its Team Manager series in 2005, alongside Stüssy, Real and Alien Workshop. The shoe he produced changed the trajectory of both. Black crocodile-embossed leather covers the toe, heel and eyestay, with a turquoise blue filling the side panels and a metallic silver Swoosh cutting between them: a combination the skate world immediately started naming after a jewellery box, which is exactly what the brand's name was pointing at. Quantities to each shop were small and the queues were not. Tershay has since said the release is what separated his label from the many other skate brands operating then and gave it an identity to build on, and the skate line returned to the colour twice in later years. As an object it is a low-cut 1985 basketball shoe with a padded tongue and a heel Air unit; as a release it is one of the reasons the model became collectible at all.
