The Dunk Low Pro SB 'Dark Russet' arrived in July 2019 at $90, built on the low-top shape Nike SB has used since 2002. Summit White suede covers the base, with Dark Russet and Cedar suede layered over the toe, eyestay and heel, and repeated on a smooth leather Swoosh, laces and insole for a tonal finish. The Pro SB designation marks Nike's standard skate build: a thicker padded tongue and collar than the basketball Dunk, extra padding through the ankle, and a Zoom Air unit tucked into the heel and sockliner for impact cushioning.
Nike SB introduced that padded tongue and cushioned build when it launched the Dunk Low Pro SB in March 2002, adapting a 1985 basketball shoe designed by Peter Moore for skating. Underneath, a rubber outsole with a circular tread pattern is built for grip on and off a board. At $90, 'Dark Russet' released as a straightforward materials and colorway update to the Pro SB line, without a named collaborator.
