Nike released the Kyrie 7 on 11 November 2020, a date chosen the same way the Kyrie 6 collection had been the year before. Eleven is the number the whole signature programme is built around, and both launches landed on the eleventh of the eleventh month.
Icons of Sport is the version that spells out who he learned from. Crimson covers the mesh upper and midsole for Michael Jordan, purple and gold sit on the textile underlay for Kobe Bryant, and royal blue points back to Duke and Mike Krzyzewski. On the heel overlay an embroidered clipboard graphic references the play drawn up before his shot in the 2016 Finals.
This is the EP build, which uses a harder-wearing rubber compound made for outdoor courts, on a multi-colour outsole. It shipped at $140 alongside the rest of the launch group.
