The Nike S.T. Charge "Rugged" is a player edition for Cade Cunningham built specifically around outdoor basketball. Its Rattan, Hyper Royal, Bright Crimson and Bright Mandarin mix nods to the great outdoors with colors inspired by the ACG Mowabb, folding a hiking-boot palette into a hoops silhouette tied to Cunningham's Detroit surroundings.
Durability drives the build. The upper uses Nike's new Monster Skin material, lightweight but form-fitting and made to survive rough surfaces, while a translucent XDR-X rubber outsole is compounded to grip dusty, dirty concrete through hard cuts and sudden stops. Cushioning comes from a thick forefoot Air Zoom unit over a Cushlon 3.0 drop-in midsole for responsive, comfortable landings.
