The plain women's Air Force 1 High is a version Nike has produced continuously rather than a limited build, so the interest is entirely in how the two pinks are used. True Berry is the deeper, more saturated of the pair; Laser Fuchsia is brighter and cooler. Splitting the accent duties between them means the Swoosh, the ankle strap and the heel tab do not all read as one flat block of color against the white leather.
The silhouette is the original 1982 shape. A padded collar rises over the ankle, the strap across it adjusts and can be left unfastened, and the toe box is perforated in the pattern the model was given when it was still a basketball shoe. The metal lace medallion hangs at the throat. At $100 it was priced as a general release rather than a premium make-up, and the white leather base means the pinks are the only thing separating it from the most common version of the shoe on the shelf.
