Triple white makes the Jester easier to read, not harder. With no color to distract from it, the off-center Swoosh is immediately obvious: it sits lower and further back than it does on a standard Air Force 1, crossing the panel at a different angle, and the heel tab is shifted to match. The tongue label that normally carries the branding has been vacated and the branding relocated to the back of the shoe.
The upper is tumbled leather rather than the smooth finish the model usually gets, which gives an all-white shoe something to catch light on. Underneath, the midsole is raised above the standard tooling, adding height and thickening the white wall that runs the length of the shoe. The Jester came out of The 1 Reimagined, a 2018 project in which a team of Nike's women designers reworked the Air Force 1 and Air Jordan 1 around five character archetypes. The jester was the mischief-maker, and everything intentionally misaligned on this shoe follows from that brief.
