Aurora Green is a pale, cool mint rather than a true green, and it is an odd partner for a warm tan like Desert Sand. That is why the pairing works. The two tones pull in opposite temperature directions, so the accent never blends into the base the way a second neutral would, and the Swoosh stays visible from a distance without the shoe turning loud.
The upper is the standard leather low-top, tan across the panels and the mudguard with the mint used for the Swoosh and trim. The toe box is perforated, the collar is padded, and the metal medallion carrying the model's name hangs at the throat of the lacing. Nike put this out in women's sizing at $90, under the usual hundred-dollar mark for a leather Air Force 1. The sole is unchanged from the 1982 design, with the Air unit sealed under the heel and the circular pivot pattern cut into the rubber.
