The silver is what separates this from a plain beige low-top. Bio Beige, a soft sand tone, covers the toe, the mudguard and the collar, while the quarter panels behind the Swoosh are done in metallic silver, so the shoe changes appearance depending on which angle light hits it from. It is an unusual split for the model, which normally treats the quarter panel as the same material as everything around it.
The cut follows the 2007 update Nike made for the shoe's 25th anniversary, the trim that has since become the default. The perforated vamp still handles airflow, the collar is padded for the ankle, and the midsole carries an Air unit under the heel inside a rubber cupsole. This came out in women's sizing in late spring 2018 at $100, priced as a general release. Neutrals with metallic accents ran right through Nike's women's line that year, and this pair is a clean example of the formula.
