About the Nike Wmns Air Force 1 Sage Low "Desert Ore"
Sage was one of five personalities Nike's women designers worked to when they took the Air Force 1 apart in 2018, and the low version is the most wearable thing that came out of it. The changes are all below the ankle: the midsole is built up into a platform considerably taller than standard tooling, and the upper is simplified so it does not compete with the extra bulk underneath.
Desert Ore suits that. It is a pale warm sand, applied across most of the shoe with white used to separate the sole from the upper, and on a silhouette this heavy a soft neutral keeps the proportions from reading as clumsy. The Sage Low was priced at $100, the same as a general-release leather low-top despite the extra tooling, which is unusual for a reworked silhouette.
