The selling point is texture rather than colour. The upper is a deliberately distressed off-white textile, roughened to look worn before it leaves the box, and the Swoosh laid over it is black with a glitter finish that catches light against the matte base. Branding is spread across four points: a woven tag sewn to the top of the tongue, block lettering embroidered onto the heel tab, a logo stamped into the burgundy sockliner, and the Swoosh itself. The base of the shoe stays plain, a white rubber cupsole with nothing added.
