At $120 this is one of the more expensive skate Blazers Nike has sold, and the GT is a more heavily engineered build than a straight retro reissue. The upper runs black with wheat, a tan that Nike uses on work boots as often as on sneakers, and summit white finishing the sole. Zoom Air sits underfoot, the cushioning Nike added when it first adapted the Blazer for skateboarding in 2005, alongside a reinforced upper and a low cut that leaves the ankle free for board feel.
It released on July 10, 2019. Nike SB, which has run since 2002, treats the Blazer as one of its two core adapted silhouettes, the Dunk being the other. A white and university red GT had released two months earlier at $75, which makes the gap between two versions of the same model unusually wide.
