Light Ginger is a soft orange brown, and it is the only thing separating this shoe from dozens of near identical siblings. It appears on the secondary lacing, the plastic zip tie, the rectangular tab pinned to the Swoosh and the exposed foam of the tongue.
The exposed tongue foam deserves the attention it gets. On a normal Dunk that foam is wrapped in fabric. Leaving it visible was one of Virgil Abloh's recurring moves across his Nike work, of a piece with the printed Helvetica text and the zip tie left attached as though the shoe had not finished being shipped. Grey suede takes the overlays on this pair rather than canvas. A plate on the outer midsole reads 34 of 50. Abloh titled the collection Dear Summer and priced every pair at 180 dollars.
