This is where the Nike and Riccardo Tisci collaboration started. The white group landed in March 2014, ahead of the black capsule in July and the beige one in October, and the high-top was its centerpiece.
The changes are structural, not graphic. The ankle strap is woven polyester webbing rather than the padded leather band the model normally uses, so it cinches down instead of sitting loose. The tongue is synthetic suede, layered with the colored overlays that also turn up on the heel branding, and the Swoosh is a textured leather that catches light differently to the smooth panels around it. Underneath, a low-profile Phylon midsole carries the encapsulated Air unit, slimmer than the standard tooling. Tisci was running Givenchy at the time, and the whole project was routed through NikeLab, the brand's outlet for design partnerships. The high-top was priced at $320, roughly three times a general-release Air Force 1 High.
