Of everything Riccardo Tisci did to the Air Force 1, the boot is the version that stopped looking like a sneaker. The shaft runs to the knee, laced the whole way, in black leather with thin striped accents climbing the full height of the shoe. The Swoosh is Baroque Brown and traced in orange; the ankle strap, which on a normal Air Force 1 is a functional piece of hardware, is here in yellow and white and reads as trim. Waxed black laces and an all-black sole keep the rest quiet.
Tisci was creative director at Givenchy when he made these, and the Nike collaboration ran as three capsules through 2014, white first, then this black group, then beige in October. Each one carried the same lineup: a low, a mid, a high and this women's boot, sold through NikeLab. At $340 it was priced as a fashion boot rather than a sneaker, which is a fair description of what it is.
