The Vapor Pro was built to replace the Vapor X, and the brief was weight. Nike cut the construction to three layers, concentrated durable material only where a hard court actually wears a shoe out and thinned it everywhere else, then borrowed an asymmetric lacing arrangement from another court model with the medial laces shielded from drag. The result is among the lightest premium tennis shoes the company has made. That comes at a cost: independent testing recorded some of the lowest shock absorption figures of any shoe in the category, so the speed is real and so is the impact travelling through the joints. The fit runs narrow. This women's colourway pairs a pearl white upper with bleached coral and canyon rust through the branding and sole, one of a run of muted palettes the tennis range used in 2022 in place of brighter tour colours. It arrived in the spring of that year, roughly twelve months after the model launched.
