Obsidian is the darker of two colorways for NikeSKIMS' 5-inch Stretch Nylon track short, a near-black tone released beside a Cobalt version. The shell is 80 percent nylon with 20 percent elastane, lined with mesh, and fitted with a soft internal waistband. Hand pockets are built into the sides, and an elastic waistband with a drawcord adjusts the closure. Dri-FIT construction moves sweat off the skin so it evaporates faster, which places the short in the technical half of the collection rather than among its drapey knit pieces. It is machine washable.
Retail is $68, and the launch is scheduled for July 30, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern. Inside Stretch Nylon this is the longer of two shorts, above the 2-inch runner short with its side slits and brief liner, and below a $78 skort, a $128 oversized vest, $128 oversized pants and a $148 jacket. The jacket, vest and pants share the same shell and piping as a coordinated set.
