The Cloudmonster 3 Mule is a slip-on built from running-shoe parts. On's triple-layer CloudTec cushioning sits under the foot in three densities, joined by a Speedboard for an energized push and a Helion foam midsole for softness, much the same combination the brand uses in the Cloudmonster 3 road shoe. Because the heel is open, a hook-and-loop strap over the instep and webbing at the midfoot do the securing work, and a terry lining adds a soft layer against the foot. The upper's colors are drawn from natural pigments, branding is kept quiet, and grip comes from a rubber outsole.
