The Nano invented a category. Reebok released the first one in 2011 alongside the sport it was built for, with a wider toe box than training shoes then offered, an abrasion-resistant upper for rope climbs and a flat, stable base for lifting, and within a season it had become close to compulsory equipment in that world. Every shoe built since for people who lift and run inside the same hour is answering the problem it framed. The fourth of the X-series versions attacks that contradiction mechanically, with a midsole chassis that flattens out for stability under load and domes for cushioning once the session turns to running and jumping. The upper is a woven material with a ventilation panel across the midfoot, and there is dedicated rubber on the inner side for rope work.
