The XA Pro 3D Alpine Echoes is a unisex version of Salomon's long-running XA Pro 3D, reworked in premium materials for a collection the brand ties to Alpine mountain tradition. Full-grain leather makes up much of the upper, joined by ripstop nylon and a technical mesh meant to read like pack fabric, and the lining and inlay sole are leather and textile rather than the usual synthetics. Salomon adds embroidery at the collar referencing cow bells. Closure is the quickLACE cord with its storage pocket, and a sensiFIT wrap runs from the midsole into the lacing.
Underfoot the shoe keeps the XA Pro's performance parts: an EnergyCell EVA midsole for shock absorption, the low-profile 3D advancedCHASSIS between midsole and outsole for motion control and protection, a molded OrthoLite sockliner, and All-Terrain contaGRIP rubber. Salomon lists a 27 mm heel and 16 mm forefoot stack for an 11 mm drop, at 13 ounces per unit. It comes in black with earth brown and vanilla ice, and releases August 1, 2026.
