Paint marks cross material boundaries on the Turtledove Vans Premium Old Skool 36, continuing from the pale upper onto the rubber toe bumper and sidewall. The official Paint Splatter Turtledove treatment mixes dark droplets with larger pale splashes, concentrated around the forefoot. An olive-colored Sidestripe cuts through the lighter canvas side panel, and smudged shading runs along the foxing beneath it. The heel section remains comparatively clear, making the uneven distribution visible in profile.
The upper combines suede and canvas with a padded collar, while the sole uses vulcanized construction and Vans’ waffle tread. This Premium version also includes Sola Foam ADC cushioning made with at least 30 percent biobased polyurethane foam. Its shortened toe cap and higher-gloss sidewalls refine the Old Skool 36’s proportions without removing the low collar or side stripe. The adult shoe’s U.S. launch retail price was $110.
