Marshmallow is the detail worth noticing. Vans runs two whites across its range, the bright True White and this warmer, slightly cream version, and choosing the softer one changes how a black upper reads: less stark, closer to an aged pair straight out of the box. Here it handles the sidestripe, the laces and the tape around the sole, while black canvas covers the panels.
The Sentry build is the heavier interpretation of the shape, and at $85 it is priced above the general-release colourways that share its outline. The bones are unchanged: a padded ankle collar, a reinforced toe area, metal eyelets and a vulcanised rubber sole finished with the waffle tread.
