Three colours, each doing a different job. Core Black knit forms the body of the shoe, matte and uninterrupted from the collar down to the midsole line. Silver Metallic is the reflective element, used on detailing that shifts as the light moves across it. Collegiate Burgundy is the warm one, a dark red with enough depth that it reads almost brown indoors and clearly red in daylight.
Against a black base both accents stay legible without shouting, which is the point of this kind of palette: it works as a dark shoe until you look closely. The knit upper is a single piece with a sock collar and welded Three Stripes, and the full-length Boost midsole beneath carries the moulded inserts in its sidewall that mark the silhouette out from other adidas runners.
