The heel tab is the focal point of this colorway: instead of the smooth leather or classic green finish most Stan Smiths carry, it's built from green suede, giving the back of the shoe a rougher texture against the rest of the smooth cloud white leather upper. The sole underneath is crystal white, close enough to the upper's tone to keep the shoe reading as a single, quiet colorway. The rest of the build, laces, tongue, and outsole trim, stays close to the shoe's standard cloud white and off-white palette, letting the heel do the only real color work.
It released June 30, 2023, at $100. The green suede heel nods to the shoe's original padded tab, added in the late 1960s as reinforcement around the Achilles tendon; here the update is purely cosmetic, a texture and color change rather than a structural one.
