Three shades of dark do the whole job: Core Black on the knit, Carbon through the overlays and cage, and Grey Six picking out the heel and smaller trim. Read at arm's length the shoe looks plain black, and only up close does the layering separate. ATR marks the all terrain build, which adds protective overlays across the Primeknit and a more aggressive outsole tread than the road version of the same pattern.
The base is the reissued 1.0, the original February 2015 geometry with its knit sock upper, laced plastic cage and full-length Boost midsole. Adding the terrain hardware pushed the price to $200 for the September 4, 2023 release, twenty dollars above the plain colourways of the same shoe that autumn. The dark palette is practical rather than decorative, since a shoe intended for wet ground and loose surfaces shows every mark on a light upper.
