Winterized is not a colorway label at ASICS but a build specification. The brand takes an existing runner and reworks the upper for cold-weather use, then sells it as a separate model with its own product code and, usually, a small price increase over the standard version.
On the twenty-first Nimbus that meant a thicker, denser mesh across the upper and a warmer lining around the collar, changes aimed at insulation more than waterproofing. Everything under the foot carried over from the standard shoe: FlyteFoam Propel in the midsole, GEL units front and rear, a SpEVA lasting for a softer footbed, and the Trusstic midfoot piece.
Graphite grey suits the purpose. Winter colorways in running tend toward darker, dirt-tolerant tones rather than the bright seasonal palettes used in spring, and this one follows that logic. At $155 it carried a modest premium over the standard twenty-first Nimbus, which is the usual gap for a winterized build.
