Cloud Blue mesh and a Magic Blue sole give this New Balance Made in USA 990v4 two distinct levels of blue. Moonbeam suede frames the toe, lace rows and side panels, keeping the upper light even around the large gray N logos. Pale blue appears through the open mesh at the forefoot and tongue, while the deeper shade covers most of the midsole and outsole. The full colorway is Moonbeam with Cloud Blue and Magic Blue, and the material mix also includes synthetic overlays.
This is the fourth 990 generation, first introduced in 2016, with a shaped mesh-and-suede upper and a substantial layered sole. ENCAP and C-CAP form the midsole combination, with NDurance rubber underneath and reflective accents in the upper. The suede contains pig leather.
