A three color scheme, and each color gets a clear job. Smooth white leather forms the base, textured blue leather handles the overlays at the toe, eyestay and heel, and varsity red is reserved for the Swoosh, the tongue and the padding inside the collar. The contrast between the two leather finishes does as much work as the colors themselves.
Low tops were a smaller part of the Air Jordan 1 line in 2007 than they are now, and this one keeps the proportions of that era, with a slightly fuller toe and a collar that sits low on the ankle. It released on May 26, 2007 under the East Side name. Red, white and blue is one of the few combinations the model returns to across decades, and this is one of its earlier low cut outings.
