University Blue forms a glossy band around the Air Jordan 11 Retro Low. The patent leather mudguard runs from the forefoot around the heel, contrasting with the white upper above it. This continuous panel is central to the Jordan 11's outline, replacing the smaller sequence of overlays found on many earlier basketball designs. White laces and a white midsole keep the blue band prominent.
The low collar reduces the amount of upper above that mudguard while preserving the model's long, curved profile. A full-length Air unit sits inside the midsole, and translucent rubber beneath the foot reveals portions of the sole's internal structure.
