Varsity Royal/University Red/Varsity Royal covers the Book 2 “JB” in deep blue, from the laces and quilted side panels to the sole wall. Diamond stitching divides the leather into raised sections, while large tonal Swooshes cross both sides. Red is concentrated underneath, filling a circular heel tread area within the blue rubber. Nike connects the edition's quilted leather and saturated color to the Don C Air Jordan 2 shoes Devin Booker wore during his college career.
The Book 2 places Air Zoom cushioning under the forefoot and pairs it with Cushlon foam. A midfoot webbing system works with the laces, and a broad strip wraps the lower upper around the foot.
