This shoe has two authors and splits itself between them. Hiroshi Fujiwara has worked with Nike since the HTM years and runs fragment design, and his Air Jordan 1 language is fixed: white leather, black overlays, royal blue, nothing else. Travis Scott announced his own Nike partnership on 30 April 2019 and put out his first Air Jordan 1 the following month; his signature move is a swoosh reversed and oversized so it runs backwards along the panel.
The collaboration ran the two together across a pair of releases in 2021. The high-top came on 29 June; the low followed on 13 August at $150.
Rather than blend the two, the shoe alternates. Scott's inverted swoosh takes the lateral side in an off-white finish; a conventional black swoosh is stitched to the medial side. The heels split the same way: Cactus Jack branding and a smiley on the left shoe, the Jordan Wings logo beside fragment's lightning bolt on the right. The colour scheme underneath belongs entirely to Fujiwara.
