About the Nike Kobe VI Protro
Metallic silver Swooshes interrupt an almost entirely orange Kobe VI Protro, standing out against the raised, scale-like texture across the upper. The laces, collar and sculpted heel piece continue the warm colors, while the outsole has a translucent orange appearance with a darker section visible through its center. The repeated surface texture supplies much of the shoe's visual detail without adding another contrasting color.
This Protro revisits the low-cut Kobe 6 design introduced in 2011 with Cushlon foam through the midsole and an Air Zoom unit beneath the forefoot. Nike also specifies less outsole rubber than on the original version, making that construction change part of the update alongside its cushioning.
