Black and anthracite cover most of this Air Max 95's leather upper, with University Blue reserved for the mesh underlay, branding and parts of the midsole. It is a tighter color story than the multi-tone pairs the model is more often released in. Nike put it out on March 18, 2023 at $175.
University Blue reads brighter against the darker leather than it would on a lighter base, showing through the eyelets, heel tab and tongue. The tiered panel construction and ridged mudguard stay consistent with every other Air Max 95 colourway, and both a heel and forefoot Air unit remain visible underfoot. Released one day after the brand's Black Grey Safety Orange pair, it gave Nike two very different color stories on the same silhouette within a single week of March 2023.
