The AIRMAX 1000.2 is the second version of Nike's 3D-printed take on the Air Max 1, following the original AIRMAX 1000. It is laceless, with a low-cut collar, and the upper is printed rather than cut and stitched; the wavy patterns and textured tooling running across it are Nike's way of echoing the mudguard on the 1987 Air Max 1 without reproducing its panelling. Max Air handles cushioning underfoot. The changes on this version concentrate in the outsole: the shape has been revised and the lugs refined, which Nike says makes the print faster to produce. This colorway is black with Glacier Blue and white.
It is set to release on July 30, 2026 at 10:00 AM Eastern for $180, in a size run Nike lists across both men's and women's. The shoe is tagged lifestyle, which fits; a printed, laceless upper is a design exercise rather than a running build, even with an Air unit inside. At $180 the price reflects that printed construction rather than the retro tooling it references.
