Nike SB rider Todd Jordan designed a Dunk High sample in 2007 called Heaven's Gate, referencing the 1997 cult that shared the name. The pair never made it to release. In its place, Nike SB issued a re-blocked version under the inverted name Un-Heavens Gate, keeping the high top silhouette but swapping in a dark obsidian leather upper set off by metallic platinum overlays across the panels, eyestay and heel.
Priced at $120, it carries the Zoom Air cushioning, padded tongue and collar, and elastic tongue straps that define the Pro SB build, setting it apart from the basketball Dunk it descends from. The inverted name preserves the sample's reference while marking this as the version Nike SB actually put on shelves, and it remains one of the more understated ways the brand has repurposed a shelved design rather than letting it disappear entirely.
