The Dunk Low Premium SB QS 'Walk Of Fame' is a collaboration between Nike SB and Brooklyn Projects, the skate and streetwear shop on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles founded by Dominick DeLuca. The black upper is textured to echo the sidewalk squares of Hollywood's Walk of Fame, the stretch of more than fifteen blocks of stars honoring entertainment figures, while Metallic Gold covers the Swoosh, heel and tongue tag. It retailed for $115.
As a QS release it went out as a Quickstrike, Nike SB's label for limited runs sent to select accounts without a broad announcement. The Premium build underneath uses higher grade materials than the standard Pro SB line, still finished with the format's padded tongue and collar and a Zoom Air unit in the heel and insole. The Walk of Fame concept gives the black textured panel a specific reference point rather than an abstract print, tying the shoe to Brooklyn Projects' Los Angeles home.
