Halloween is the whole brief for the 'Mummy', which dresses the SB Dunk Low as the bandaged monster of old horror films. The upper is an off-white canvas in a shade Nike calls coconut milk, stitched with tonal decorative thread and left ragged at the edges so it reads as loose wrapping. Those panels are designed to be torn off over time, exposing a grey-blue suede base, the same suede that forms the Swoosh. Below, a rubber cupsole, semi-translucent and loaded with glow pigment, lights up once the room goes dark. Yellow strike and seafoam round out the official colour name.
Small details carry the theme. Two embroidered eyes peer out from the heel, a spider is stitched onto the left toe, and the Eye of Horus is printed inside the tongue as a nod to Egyptian tomb lore. The build underneath is the regular Nike SB skate spec with Zoom Air cushioning, so the costume costs nothing in board feel. Released in late October 2021 at $110, it joined a line of holiday-themed SB Dunks that reaches back to the Concepts 'Ugly Christmas Sweater' Highs, and it shares its tear-away trick with the Travis Scott 'Cactus Jack' Low, whose paisley and plaid overlays wear down to elephant print.
