About the Nike SB Zoom Blazer Mid "Lance Mountain"
Lance Mountain, born in Pasadena in 1964 to British parents, skated through the era when basketball shoes like the Blazer were simply repurposed by skateboarders because nothing better existed. He has been with Nike SB since 2007, and he kept returning to the Blazer for his own projects.
The July 2018 version uses an all-suede upper in a washed university blue, faded rather than flat, with an off-white Swoosh over it and habanero red used sparingly. An English rose is embroidered on the heel, a nod to his parents' background. Underfoot the shoe keeps the SB Blazer's Air cushioning and padded collar, the changes Nike made in 2005 when it first rebuilt the model for skating. The MSRP was $85.
