White on white is the version of this shoe most people picture when the name comes up, and a gray accent is about the smallest possible departure from it. Cool Grey has a blue cast rather than a warm one, and against Nike's white leather it registers as shading on the Swoosh and trim instead of as a second color.
That makes it a different proposition to a black accent, which cuts hard, or a bright one, which announces itself.
