Dear Summer was the name Abloh gave the project: fifty Dunk Lows sharing one design and separated by a numbered plate on the lateral midsole and a single accent colour. On this pair that colour is Alpha Orange.
It appears in four places. The spare lacing threaded through the second set of loops, the plastic zip tie left hanging off the laces, the small rectangular tab attached to the Swoosh, and the exposed foam of the tongue. Everything else is the collection's standard sail leather and neutral grey canvas, with Abloh's Helvetica text printed across the panel. All fifty went on sale on the same day, 9 August 2021, at 180 dollars each. The numbering makes the fifty read as a set, and no single pair completes it.
