Crossing black straps dominate the toddler Jordan 8 Chrome, fastening over the upper with hook-and-loop closures. The Black/Light Graphite/White colorway places grey and white graphics on the sculpted side panels, where the lighter brushstroke shapes break away from the dark upper. Metallic-looking grey sections continue around the lower edge. These details give the Chrome edition its contrast while keeping the collar, toe and broad fastening straps almost entirely black.
The Jordan 8 began during Michael Jordan's 1992-93 championship season; Chrome followed as a retro colorway in 2003 and returned in 2015. This toddler construction combines leather, synthetic leather and textile with a rubber outsole. The toddler edition's U.S. launch retail price was $90. The overlapping straps and patterned side pieces carry the design's identity into baby and toddler sizing, with the restrained palette emphasizing their different shapes.
