Nike SB handed this project to representatives from four skate shops across western Europe, who worked out the design together and put it out as a quarter-year release under the WE CLUB 58 name. The result leans vintage. A dark sequoia green covers the upper in a shaggy, raised-nap suede, the tongue is exposed in the old style rather than tucked away, and the Nike branding is rendered in flight gold at the Swoosh, the tongue and the heel. A hooked D-ring sits at the heel, the midsole is white, and the outsole is gum rubber. Insoles carry the project's own branding.
It released on May 19, 2018 at $95, a quantity-limited run rather than a general drop. The raised nap of the upper and the exposed tongue foam push the design toward the look of 1970s basketball shoes rather than the clean skate Blazers Nike was selling alongside it.
