Beige is the whole idea here. This women's Retro Low NS drops the two tone color blocking that defines most versions of the Air Jordan 1 and runs one soft neutral, Particle Beige, across the leather upper, the collar, the midsole and the outsole. The only break comes from Metallic Red Bronze, a warm coppery finish applied to the branding, which catches light against the flat tan without introducing a second color to the silhouette.
The low cut sits well below the ankle, so the eyestay overlays and heel panel that give the high top its structure are cropped short and the shoe reads closer to a court sneaker than a basketball boot. Air cushioning stays in the heel and the outsole keeps the pivot circle under the forefoot. Released on September 2, 2018 at $110, it shared its launch day with a Sail colored version built on the identical pattern.
